THE National Men’s soccer team had undergone a ‘Team Building’ training session with the Solomon Islands National Institute of Sport (SINIS) Wellbeing Lifestyle Performance (WLP) Department on Monday.
This was revealed by the SINIS media on their official facebook page.
The program was held at the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) Academy in East Honiara and it included fun activities such as Robbing the Nest, Tag of War, Hoops Problem Solving, Human Knot and
Rat and Rabbit.
The aim of this WLP team building session’ program delivered to the National Men’s Soccer Team is to help them improve on their communication and collaboration abilities.
Effective communication is critical in soccer as split-second decisions and actions can make a significant difference in any soccer match.
The program was also part of a stress relief and fun initiative to allow the squad to have fun, relax and strengthen friendships outside of the rigorous training environment to avoid burnout and sustain motivation.
Delivering the wellbeing session were SINIS WLP Coordinator Carlson Hagemana and WLP Department Coach Diana Mafuara.
