Malaita athletes living in Honiara has left the capital on Thursday for Auki.
Reports reaching Star Sports says the players and officials who represented Malaita province during the recent Solomon Games boarded MV Kosco to Auki Thursday evening to attend their closing ceremony.
The closing ceremony will be hosted today in Auki Town to officially mark their achievement in the recent national games.
Team Malaita scooped 85 medals and were placed on the second spot of the medal tally.
They bagged 38 gold, 20 silver and 23 bronze medals.
Meanwhile the closing ceremony set for today is expected to attract huge fans and supporters in Malaita.
