THE Temotu final contingent for the upcoming Solomon Games has left Lata on Tuesday evening via LC Zarally and are bound for Honiara.
President of the Temotu Football Association (TFA) confirmed this to Star Sports from Lata.
“Our final contingent for Solomon Games left this evening (Tuesday) for Honiara via LC Zarally,’’ Lapoe said.
He said the contingent comprises of our futsal, netball and taekwondo athletes.
“The contingent comprises of our futsal, netball and taekwondo players,’’ he said.
Lapoe on the same note reiterated his call for the people of Temotu in Honiara to help assist the athletes upon their arrival.
“I would like to urge my good people of Temotu in Honiara to support our athletes upon their arrival,’’ he said.
“Your support towards our athletes will be greatly appreciated,’’ he said.
Western provincial contingent has also arrived in Honiara yesterday.
Other provincial contingents are also expected to arrival in Honiara as of now and onward.
Meanwhile Solomon Games is set to kick off this weekend and will run for about two weeks.
