THE Tegano Rugby 7s Competition 2025 is set to kick off next week at the Vaigau field, Niupani village, in East Rennell, Renbel Province.
The two-day event will be staged on Wednesday 15 January and Thursday 16 January.
The Tegano Rugby 7s Competition 2025 Organising Committee said they were thrilled to announce the resumption of the competition after being in hiatus for a few years.
The competition will kick off with an official opening on Wednesday and will feature 3 different categories – Senior Men (18 and above), Junior Boys (Under 18) and Women/Girls (Open).
A total of 4 clubs have already confirmed their participation in the tournament for all 3 categories. These clubs include Tradewind, Tai’atua, Taimate and Vaisu’a.
Our Telekom is the major sponsor for the tournament as it is responsible for three stunning trophies – Gold, Silver and Bronze – for the Senior Men’s category of the Tegano Rugby 7s Knockout Competition.

Meanwhile, Our Telekom, in a statement yesterday, said they are proud to support the Tegano Rugby 7s Knockout Competition with three stunning trophies – Gold, Silver, and Bronze – for the Senior Men’s category and wished all the teams well during their competition.
