SEVEN more 3G towers of Our Telekom installed in Malaita province will be launched soon.
This was confirmed by our Telekom Auki branch office on Tuesday.
Assistance manager Jimmy Nange told the Solomon star the towers are 50metres in height.
“The towers will provide the 3G services which includes the internet, TV and other important services that people need to access in the rural areas,” Mr Nange said.
“This is to address the issue of internet services for rural school students to help them during their research.”
He said, that construction on the structure of those seven towers are already completed and only waiting for networking instalment.
“As soon as the networking installation is complete then we will launch them.”
He added that the launching program is most like to fall before this Christmas.
Mr Nange said, with these seven more towers, the total towers installed on Malaita lands will be more than 30 tower sites.
He added that those seven towers will surely provide good reliable network services for the whole province.
