A concerned man from Rennell has expressed disappointment over the personal attack on the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Mines and Energy by chief Obed Sau’eha.
Wilson Tema said, ” I am so surprised to read about Mr. Obed Sau’ eha’s wild accusation on the PS for Mines, Jeffrey Kauha.”
“He claimed to represent and talk on behalf of a group of landowners from central Rennell. Mr. Obed Sau’eha, you only represent those who are being paid by Bintang Borneo. Your voice is yours and you family alone and you cannot talk on my behalf.
“Your claim that other landowners supported Bingtang is because you have been advancing all your royalty monies already and owes them lots of money,” Mr Tema said.
Mr. Obed Sau’ eha is the very person that should explain why he is attacking personally on Mr. Kauha, Mr Tema added.
“Is it because his daily dependent on Bintang will be soon be terminated? Every single man from Rennel Island know this so called Principal landonwer, Obed Saueha.
“He started off working with APID, getting thousands of dollars from APID since 2009-2014, then he decided to switch to West Rennell Association in the hope that he can blackmail APID for more money. He couldn’t get enough, he jumped on MV Bintang. He has been paid by Bintang ever since.
“Right now, he is being accommodated at Pacific Casino with his cohorts and drinking beers with the Bintang’s two representatives in the Solomon Islands.
“It is sad to know that other members of the Provincial Assembly for Renbel are also caught in this net. This is the same net that former Premier Lence Tango didn’t see.
“How on earth these so called leaders are be making decent independent decision on behalf of the people of Rennel and Bellona?
“I call on the Ministry and Government to terminate all the mining activities so that people like Obed Saueha don’t depend on them for quick money. MV Renbel took that same route Mr. Sau éha did and its eating sand right now.”
