DETERIORATING roads in Auki, Malaita Province will soon be repaired again.
Vehicle owners have been calling for road repair within Auki Township.
Malaita premier Peter Ramohia said the process to put out tender is in progress.
“We still have no contractor identified but as soon as that is done, the contractor will start the job.”
He said one wee delay is with a proposed base for the identified contractor.
“The proposed area earmarked for equipments and for storage near Kilu’ufi is being worked on with land owners.”
Auki roads have been tar-sealed in the 90s when a regional gathering was held there.
The road was tar-seal from Gwaunaru’u airport to Auki.
