Dear Editor – We are profoundly grateful if you could publish our sincere appreciation to Minister for Finance and treasury Hon. Snyder Rini for facilitating an appointment with us the graduated pilots to see the chairman of Solomon Airlines Mr. Austin Holmes.
Five of us whom eventually partake would like to convey our sincere gratitude for such humility and kind heart the Hon. Minister had shown towards us.
This was in respond to our visit to his residence; despite the current political hassle he was able to consider our request.
We would like to salute him for his bold and prompt response to strike an appointment which immediately proven successful.
No doubt, we have met with the Chairman on Wednesday last week and we did have positive and constructive dialogue.
Later we have a comprehensive understanding of the issue in discussion. We understand that the issue is not directly related to his ministry nor did we are his constituents but rather having the confidence in his capacity as a national leader, we simply seek out for his assistance.
In turn, he arranged for us to see the right people who are responsible.
We did have a short audience with him but the impacts of the conversation will definite become a milestone in our future career.
Sir, if you don’t mind, you are one of the true serving leaders this nation is blessed beyond to have. We made several attempts to talk with some of your colleagues (Ministers) but they seem to avoid us.
Your approach is opposite to theirs which is quite stunning.
You did welcome us just as the holy bible speaks, I was a stranger and you took me in. Assuredly I say to you, inasmuch as you did to one of the least brethren, you did it to me (emphasis mine).
So you just did exactly a Christian duty to your fellow citizens which are both morally and constitutionally right.
Meanwhile you are a true patriarch to this nation.
We hope we are not patronizing here, nor do we capitalise for future help but rather we seek to appreciate the helping hand you had extended towards us.
Although you hands couldn’t reach out to other areas of help, it is a good platform to build upon a leader-citizen public relation, whom we would like to tell this nation how grateful and appreciative we are of an act of kindness and generosity somebody of your rank shown to us ordinary citizens. We would count it as an end year gift from an honourable statesman.
