A former supporter for the Malaita Outer Islands (MOI) has described the theme for Martin Kealoa’s campaign strategy as unrealistic.
The outgoing MP has recently kicked off his campaign awareness in Honiara.
The supporter, who once voted Mr Kealoa in the last election and wanted to remain anonymous, claimed the theme for campaign is: ‘Ting Ting Gud’.
The man said this theme is meaningless. “This does not explain anything to the people of MOI. He needs to explain what changes or development that have taken place in MOI during his four year tenure as the MP,” the supporter said.
The supporter, who intends to vote for a new MP in the upcoming general election, said the outgoing MP needs to be questioned on the funds that he had received during his four years in office.
“The campaign strategy is also not convincing as we are still questioning the millions of dollars from the livelihood fund allocated for the constituency and how he had spent the money.”
Six candidates are contesting the seat for the MOI constituency in the upcoming general election.
