THIS day is your day you have demonstrated courage, hard work and dedication to your learning and as a result you have been awarded an Australian vocational qualification that recognised nationally and internationally, says the Chief Executive Officer of Australia Pacific Technical College (APTC) Denis O’Brian.
Speaking to mark the graduation yesterday in Honiara, Ms O’Brian said it is a pressure to offer the graduates congratulations on this very special graduation day.
“You have made sacrifice to undertake your studies at ATPC and we know that for many, you need to leave your place of work, your family and community for a period of time in order to undertake your studies,” she said.
“We thank your employers and families who have supported you through this time,” she added.
“We trust that you have not only acquired skills and knowledge to equip you well for employment but that you leave this training experience with new professional friendship and we encourage you to be active members of your ATPC Alumni Chapter and that you promote APTC with pride.”
She said APTC appreciates that graduates come to APTC with wealth of experience and as such ATPC acknowledge that it also learn from them.
“We at APTC thank you for the opportunity to share in learning and we trust that this is just the beginning and that you continue to strive to be the very best you can be in your chosen work,” she said.
