Let’s support the boys, says coach
THE national men’s football interim head coach Mosses Toata is expecting a tough return match against Tahiti tomorrow but is confident to register their first three points.
Toata uttered this to Star Sports in an interview on Friday.
“I’m expecting a very strong match against Tahiti, but I’m quite confident about my boys after we watched our last game’s mistakes,’’ he said.
“We’ve also identify the possibilities that we can do to break Tahiti’s back line,’’ he said.
Toata is also expected to make few changes after some of his players sustained minor injuries during the first clash in Tahiti.
The non-travelling players with the likes of Benjamin Totori, Gagame Feni, and Tuti Zama Tanito to name a few has also teamed up the squad on Friday.
Toata said he will name his first 11 players for second leg today after discussing with his team management.
The head coach also appeals to all mad football fans and supporters in the country to rally their support behind the squad in their match tomorrow.
“To our good supporters please come out in numbers tomorrow and support the team,’’ he said.
He said all our support should be given to the national squad.
“I don’t see any reason why we should support different teams, whether we lose or win it’s our team so all our support should be rendered towards our team,’’ he added.
Meanwhile, the fees for the second leg match are $100 for grandstand and $20 for standing.
The match is set to kick off at 3pm.
