Solomon Warriors FC coach, Moses Toata says Micah Lea’alafa will be a threat for Warriors in the Oceania Club Championship.
Toata revealed this prior to their departure yesterday at the Henderson International Airport.
“Yes Micah is always threat for any team.
“Definitely Micah is with Auckland City, initially the plan was that he will feature for City for the World Cup qualifies but they decided to keep him.
“But we will not put our focus only on Micah knowing that they have key players.
“It’s about the team and my priority is we work as a team.”
Solomon Warriors FC will take on Auckland City in their opening match of the Oceania Club championship on Sunday.
Toata said despite playing the defending champions anything can happen in football.
“It’s a big game, all our preparation gears towards the first game
“And if we do well in the first match it will help set us in the right track
“Unfortunately our first game is against biggest gun of the competition.
“I don’t expect us to cause any big upset but as long as we put our minds in our game I believe the boys can do it.
“Anything is possible in football.
“I have to put faith in my boys and hope for the best,” he said.
Warriors has a new inclusion, Henry Fa’arodo Junior a play maker in nearly all clubs he featured for.
However there are some matters to settle regarding his recent signing.
Toata said they will discuss this issue during a technical meeting prior to their first match.
He said if the decision is in their favour it will be a bonus for the team and even though the decision is not in their favour his inclusion has already been a boost for the Warriors boys.
