MINISTER for Ministry of Women, Youth, Children and Family Affairs Freda Tuki says that dealing with gender issues in the country is complex and difficult, but nothing is impossible if everyone work hard.
MP Tuki highlighted this during the International Women’s Day celebration last week.
“We have proven that we can move mountains,” she said.
She added that keeping to the promise for fairness and stepping up our efforts to end discrimination against women requires that we are all united in this campaign to address gender discrimination.
“One organization alone is unable to fight the fight. We need each other to move forward to bring about meaningful change to all Solomon Islanders,” she said.
MP Tuki thanked everyone for their ongoing support to the Government in its effort to address gender discrimination.
“I hope that we will continue to collaborate and work in partnership as never before to bring about desired change for all Solomon Islanders,” she added.
