Suva (Fiji Times) – BA football is having a reinforcement in their team for the remainder of the season with few of the top footballers deciding to join the camp.
Joining the side is former Amicale football club of Vanuatu striker Osea Vakatalesau and Shameel Rao who spent a short stint in New Zealand last season.
Fiji Football Association (FFA) chief executive officer Bob Kumar confirmed the duo’s intention to play for Ba.
“Those players have applied for their international transfer clearance from the previous clubs,” he said.
“Osea was not sure where to play but officials from Ba have said that he would play for them.
“At the moment there are a lot of transfers which are being sorted out and I have been receiving a lot through emails as well.”
Lautoka utility Samuela Kautoga and Nadi midfielder Ilimotama Jese were also seeking their transfer to Ba.
However, Kumar said he would not be able to make any comment on the duo since he had not gone through their transfer application.
All the players was expected to champion club of Fiji 4R Electric Men in Black of Ba.
A 4R team official said the inclusion of these players would strengthen the team.
“Osea (Vakatalesau), Samuela Kautoga and Shameel Rao have joined the club,” he said.
“For Ilimotama Jese he wanted to come and play for Ba and he applied for his release himself.
“His father was also from Ba player so he decided to play for us before retiring from football.
“Daniel Krishneel from Tailevu Naitasiri and Varun Kumar from Nadi would also join the side.
“All these players need to prove their worth before they could wear the Ba jersey.”
Rewa president Nazeel Buksh confirmed one of the Rewa clubs had applied for the release of Labasa defender Posiano Kalisito from Labasa.
The transfer window closed yesterday.
Meanwhile, Fiji FA will release the names of the players went to other districts.
