The Honiara Football Association (HFA) continued yesterday with their round nine matches at the KGVI playing ground.
Eight exciting matches were staged with two from the premier division while three matches each for division one and two respectively.
Two former O’League reps, KOSSA FC and Koloale FC kicked off the premier division battle.
Both teams displayed great performance, however fresh from the recent Nations Cup stint, Charlie Otainao slotted home the winning goal for KOSSA FC.
His lone goal separated both teams with KOSSA bagging a much needed three points to progress up the premier table standing.
Koloale made several attempts on goal but were not able to find the back of the net.
With a goal advantage KOSSA strikers worked hard to further increase their lead but could not do so.
The score remained 1-0 at full time.
The second match saw Northern United thrashed Naha FC 6-2.
For division one matches, CY Strikers defeated Sokamora FC 6-2, Kukum Bombers FC draw with FC Islander 1-1 while Hana FC and Toba Kingz also ended up with a nil all draw.
For division two, Walas FC thrashed Kakamora FC with six unanswered goals, while G. Camp United beat Las United 2-1 and the match between Three United and Rivantor Hunters FC ended with a nil all draw.
Meanwhile, matches will continue today at the KGVI grounds starting at 2pm.
Premier division will feature Waneagu FC and CDL Lekas FC at 2pm to be followed by Solomon Warrior and Junior Flamingo FC at 4pm.
Division one matches set for today will be between Rangers FC and Kolei United at 2pm while Henderson Eels will take on Lau Valley FC at 4pm.
Fixtures for division two will see Our Breeze go head to head with KGVI Snails FC at 2pm while DMP FC will battle with Ma’asina FC at 4pm.
