NADI skipper Beniamino Mateinaqara is anticipating a tough battle against Auckland City in their first O’League game to be held at Churchill Park next month.
The ace goalkeeper said it would be a battle between experience and new kids on the block.
Mateinaqara said the visitors would be tough having tasted top level competition while the Jetsetters are new to the O’League.
“Nadi just came into the O’League this year and it will not be easy to play against big teams such as Auckland City who has played in the world cup club championship,” he said.
“It will be a David and Goliath battle.
“We respect our opponents but at the same time we will give them a good run for their money.
Mateinaqara said he had faith in his troops and that they would deliver the goods for their fans.
He said the side had been camping for the past few days and the players were confident of a good outing.
“I have faith in my teammates and I know they are eager to show their worth against the visitors.
“We want to make a good start to this year’s O’League competition and we will give our best for our fans.”
Mateinaqara has called on their fans to turn out in numbers to support the team.
