Strict guidelines to be enforced on national squad
Preparations for the next stage of the World Cup Qualifiers will be intensive and will be under tough discipline.
That was according to the president of the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF), William Lai.
Lai said there will be rules whereby all players must adhere to as from when training resume both in and off the field.
“From now on there will be a strict policy put in place as part of our preparations for the next stage of the Oceania World Cup Qualifiers.
“There will be no unnecessary absenteeism during training sessions; any player who is marked absent three times without any good explanation will be removed from the squad.
“It has come to a time that we must be strict in our preparations.
“Gone are the days we take things lightly, we must try and do things professionally,” he said.
Lai said such actions must be taken so any final team selected is regarded as prepared and well disciplined.
The squad will resume training next week.
