MINISTRY for Culture and Tourism (MCT) together with the Solomon Island Visitors Bureau (SIVB) will host a National Tourism Forum (NTF) in Honiara on September 25.
The aim of the forum is to review some of the resolutions passed in 2014 forum as well as discuss and agree on a way forward for the industry.
The forum will be held at the Mendana Hotel.
The forum is the DCC government commitment for the future of tourism in the country, an invitation cited by the Solomon Star revealed.
“Over 150 leaders from the businesses, government and non-government sectors and 9 provinces are set to converge into Honiara.
“The forum aims to map out policies, strategies, and share innovative means to promote sustainable tourism in our nation,’’ the invitation letter said.
The leaders will be attending the Our Telekom National Tourism Forum, which carries the theme “Managing Change and Creating a Million Tourism Opportunities.”
Its understood that tourism officers and tourism provincial ministers in nine provinces will also attend the forum.
The forum was organised by MCT together with SIVB.
