The Central Island provincial government (CIPG) has reminded tourism firms in Honiara who normally transport tourists to Florida (Ngela) to comply with the new tourism ordinance enacted by the province early this year.
The reminder came since few of the private tourism firms in Honiara that normally get tourists across to Central island province for sightseeing and tour failed to comply with the tourism ordinance.
Central Island province acting provincial secretary Hendry Limbo told the Solomon Star yesterday that it is important that tourism operators must read about the new tourism ordinance to know what is expected of them when arranging such tours to the province.
“If they don’t have a copy then please visit our office to get a copy of the tourism ordinance.”
