About twelve tourism operators in Malaita province attended a consultation meeting for the development of a five year Solomon Islands National Development plan last week.
The consultation was held at the Rarasu Restaurant in Auki.
The consultation meeting was funded by visitors’ Bureau and conducted by a local consultant in Malaita Province, Andrew Nihopara.
The purpose of the meeting was to share with the tourism stakeholders the key areas to be covered in the 5 years strategy.
A tourism operator in Auki, Salas Malai said during the consultation they discussed some of the priority areas of tourism which needs to be highlighted in the strategy.
Similar consultations were held at Central Province and Western Province recently.
