A FOUR days life skills training will be conducted by the Green Tourism Solomon Island Ltd in Taro, Choiseul Province tomorrow.
The training aims to equip tourism operators in Taro and Shortland to better understand hospitality.
Managing Director of Green Tourism Michael Tokuru told the Solomon Star yesterday, the training will run until Friday.
“This training aims to equip tourism operators in Taro to know how to prepare their facilities while serving their guests.
“This is a very basic hospitality training to improve the standard of service operators offer to their guests” Mr Tokuru said.
About 40 participants in Taro, the surrounding communities and Kariki in Shortland Islands will attend the training.
Most of the participants are expected to be women.
Mr Tokuru thanked the Taro tourism community for inviting Green Tourism to conduct the training.
This is the first time for the firm to conduct its training in Choiseul province. Early this year similar training was conducted at Roderick Bay in Central island province.
