SOLOMON Water says it regrets to announce the temporary closure of the Rove Gravity Source due to dead prawns and fish as a precaution to protect public safety.
“We expect the closure to last until tomorrow, and we shall get the supply restored as soon as possible,” a statement Solomon Water issued yesterday, said.
It said the decision will affect Point Cruz, Town Ground and Ports Area.
Meanwhile, 60% of people in Honiara now have water services, however in some cases supply will be rationed rather than continuous and people should
use water wisely.
“Water should be boiled before drinking or using to prepare food as a safety precaution.”
