Temotu Provincial Government (TPG) passes its supplementary budget 2014/2015 last month.
Temotu premier Buddley Soakifono told this paper in an interview from Lata.
He said, the budget stands at $1,020,000.00.Top of their agenda meeting last month was to pass the provincial supplementary budget.
The recurrent expenditure are office of the premier, $140,000.00, provincial assembly $49,700.00, administration $50,000.00, finance $500,900.00.
Furthermore, works, transport and communication $115,000.00, Lands $88,200.00, women’s Development $13,500.00, Tourism $30,700.00, local council $32,000.00.
The supplementary appropriation from the provincial fund was authorized for sum of one million, and twenty thousand dollars expenditure to be applied for the purposes specified in section 32(2) of the provincial Government Act 1997 for the services of the financial year ending 31st March 2015.
He said, he’s executive will continue on with the developments previous executive had have established.
Developments, such as infrastructure and a new market house nears completion at Lata wharf to help market vendors from north east coast particularly Malo, Neo and other surrounding villages.
The market house is important to ensure vendors display their food crops at a hygiene area.
“My government will continue on, to build staff houses and renovation of buildings that are deteriorate since Lata was established.”
