A training on the 11th European Development Fund (EDF) based on the financial contractual and procedures kicked off at the Heritage Park Hotel in Honiara on Monday.
European Development Fund (EDF) team leader Anthony Acheampong explained the workshop was designed for European Development Fund key stake holders in the country to learn about the modules in dealing with the fund.
Mr. Acheampong said it is important that the recipients’ countries from the African Caribbean Pacific (ACP) who benefits from the fund must know the procedures in dealing with the funds to better use the fund that European Union gives.
He said the training will run for a period of nine days where they will go through with participants a total of four modules that will equip the participating stake holders to better use the European Development Fund.
The four modules are introduction to the EDF and programming, procurement services supplies and work, programme estimates and grants.
The nine days training will ended on the 19th of November which is next Thursday, facilitating the training are Anthony Acheampong from Ghana and Tiago Fernandes who is from Portugal.
