Dear Editor – Last week I lost my uncle, the late Saxon Talo.
To those who have not or may have not heard it, Saxon Talo has now passed on.
I am very sad because I have learnt (news) after he was laid to rest.
Uncle, rest in peace now because you deserved it. You have waited so long for it to come and finally it came and we cannot hold it back.
I am one of those who was really interested in Saxon’s oldies when he and those KG Six old boys used to hit the air waves back in the 70’s and 80’s with their island songs and my favourite one, “Saelea come back home to us………..”. Up till now, I still love your oldies.
I suggest if the management of SIBC could arrange any time to play those Saxon Talo and KG Six boys old songs as our last tribute to our once known musician.
For those of us who are still waiting for our call, we will try as much as possible to leave the past behind, gather our rhythm and move on in life.
Rest in Peace Uncle Saxon!
