A team from the Advocacy and Legal Advice Centre (ALAC) under Transparency Solomon Islands will be visiting Gizo in Western Province next week.
In a statement yesterday TSI explained, the visit will provide residents of Gizo and surrounding communities with an opportunity to learn more about fighting corruption and promoting good governance.
“Legal Officers will be available to provide free legal advice and information to any person with a question about corruption.
“ALAC will also visit various stakeholders to discuss how to improve access to corruption related information and advice for citizens living and working in Western Province.”
TSI encourages all members of the public to come to the space underneath the Women’s Centre in Gizo at 10am on Tuesday 19 May 2015 to hear a short information session about corruption and the law.
“If you would like to ask a question, our officers will be running a legal advice clinic immediately following the information session on Tuesday morning. The clinic will also run after lunch on Tuesday and again on Wednesday morning at the same venue.”
