The Telekom S-league Board has revealed the names of football clubs who will be participating in the 2017-2018 TSL season.
The competition is set to kick off on August 19 at the Lawson Tama Stadium.
The eight franchise clubs for this season are; Marist FC, Solomon Warriors FC, KOSSA FC, Real Kakamora FC, Malaita Kingz FC, Guadalcanal FC, Western United FC and Henderson Eels FC.
Henderson Eels FC is the only new inclusion for this season, replacing West Honiara FC.
Henderson Eels has signed many experienced players from the past TSL season as well as three top young players from the recent Solomon Cup competition.
This TSL season is anticipated to be tough and more interesting to watch with the inclusion of a new club and players.
A number of clubs have secured new players to boost their performance.
This will make it more interesting as supporters and fans will want to see how the new inclusions perform.
Malaita Kingz FC has recently announced the inclusion of PNG’s young top striker, Tommy Semmy.
Defending champions, Marist has signed three Brazilians and included Solomon Islands most capped player, Henry Fa’arodo Junior and Joachim Waroi to their tough lineup.
Solomon Warriors has recalled all their players and are expected to make a tough comeback this season.
Western United has signed Solomon Islands young upcoming star, Marcus Chan who spent the past years at a football Academy in Spain.
Other clubs were also reported to recruit a few new faces to strengthen their lineup for this TSL campaign.
