DESPITE losing their top goal keeper before the Telekom S-league (TSL) season came to an end, Henderson Eels FC remains confident they have a replacement that could man their gates for the upcoming OFC Champions league.
Eels will depend on Desmond Tutu with the support of goalkeeper coach and player Zantus Siosi to man their gates.
Coach Eddie Marahare remains confident Eels will do just fine without Talo.
“Yes we will miss Talo’s service but we must move on and we have confidence in young Tutu who is our next number one goal keeper.
“In our previous OFC Champions League campaign we went in without Talo so we can do it again this time round,” he said.
Young Tutu has had a promising career in goal keeping having played for the country’s youth squads and also made it into the senior squad.
Player and goal keeper coach, Zantus Siosi also has confidence in Tutu.
“Tutu is an active player and every player trusts him between the sticks.
“He has shown more determination since Talo signed up with Hekari.
“He understands his important role in Eels campaign,” Siosi said.
Tutu has stepped up his training with Siosi in the past weeks and they are optimistic they will be in their top form for the competition.
Henderson Eels will depart for their OFC Champions league campaign next week.
