FOR Roselyn Fa’ari, there’s no Christmas present as sweet as giving birth to twins on Christmas day.
She was one of 14 mothers who gave birth on Christmas Day at the National Referral Hospital in Honiara.
“They were a real blessing, especially on this Christmas day,” Roselyn told the Solomon Star.
“I was filled with joy when I was first told that I am pregnant with twins. And to make it more special, I gave birth to them on Christmas Day.
“This is just wonderful,” Roselyn added.
Roselyn is from Makira and her husband Walton is from Malaita.
Her twin boys were declared healthy, and as a result, left the hospital on Friday.
Their grandmother Alice Kofiri was equally overjoyed.
“I’m getting old and to have twins as my grandchildren is a really blessing not only for me but the entire family,” Alice said.
“They were the best Christmas present to come our way,” she added.
The twins are yet to be given their names.
