TWO Solomon Islands U14 tennis players have qualified for the West Pacific regional competition U14 singles semi finals today in Port Vila, Vanuatu.
The duo John Kennedy Taufunu and Andrew Sanga made it to the semi finals after winning the quarter final playoffs yesterday.
John Kennedy Taufunu was the first to secure his semi final spot after winning both sets 6-1 and 6-0 against Mathis Jacobe of Vanuatu.
Andrew Sanga also won both sets against Drauna Netani of Fiji 6-4 and 6-3.
For the U14 girls Michelle Kupenga won her quarter final match against Elizabeth of Fiji while Jen Tahunipue booked her spot in the U14 girl semi finals.
The other Solomon Islands U14 boys and girls did not make it past the quarter finals.
