Parents of 10 year-old boy tested positive for Covid-19
PARENTS of the 10-year-old boy who tested positive for Covid-19 upon their arrival from Fiji last week have been tested positive in their second Covid-19 tests.
Prime Minister (PM) Manasseh Sogavare in his special nationwide address yesterday said this result has brought the number of current positive patients to four.
All the four positive cases are now in isolation, in a Quarantine Centre, said the PM.
“I have regretted to inform you that both parents of a 10-year-old boy that came in on the flight from Fiji have been tested positive of Covid-19,” PM Sogavare said.
He said this has now increased the total number of Covid-19 cases diagnosed in the country to a total of 24 recorded cases.
Given this current situation, PM Sogavare said their plan remains as to contain and eliminate the virus from our quarantine and isolation stations.
However, he urged the public to get their vaccine as these two variants (Delta and Omicron) are more transmissible and more dangerous than the Covid-19 variant that have affected the first 20 patients Covid-19 in the country.
