THE Junior U14 Kurukuru team who will be representing the country in the 2020 Australian National Futsal Championship early next year was announced, Tuesday.
According to reports, the team comprises of 11 players selected from SISC popular 2019 Bulk Shop Junior Futsal League.
The team is currently undergoing intensive training under the leadership of head coach Dickson Kadau who is the former senior Kurukuru team’s coach and is currently the SIFF’s Futsal and beach soccer development officer.
He is assisted by coach Caleb Fox.
The team is also benefiting from Eddie Koke’s fitness and endurance training at the Hatanga gym every Saturday morning.
The team is expected to leave on January 10th to spend some time training in a full size court and acclimatizing in Dural before traveling to Canberra for the competition.
The 2020 Australian National Futsal Championship will be held in Canberra from January 13th to 18th next year.
