THE much waited U16 Solomon Cup tournament will kick off at the DC Park, Saturday.
Day one of the competition will feature four matches, two from each pool.
Pool A will host Guadalcanal and Choiseul at 10am followed by Temotu and Makira Ulawa at 12noon.
Pool B will see Western Province take on host Honiara at 2pm and Isabel to take on Central Islands at 3pm.
All matches are anticipated to be tough as all teams aim for a win to start off their campaign.
The competition serves to help select potential young footballers for the country’s national U16 squad.
This is a golden opportunity, especially for provincial players to showcase their talents for space in the country’s U16 squad.
Teams will take a day break tomorrow and will continue on Monday.
