DC Park to host U16 Solomon Cup
MATCHES of the upcoming Solomon Cup tournament will be held at the DC Park, Henderson.
This was confirmed by the Solomon Cup U16 local organizing committee.
All the matches could not be held at Lawson Tama since it will be reserved for the Telekom Super League (TSL) matches.”
“In terms of venue for the U16 tournament, we will be using DC Park for most matches.
“We cannot host all matches at Lawson Tama since it will be reserved for the TSL, our top tier league.
“We will be in talks with the Lawson Tama grounds people if we can have some matches played there.
“The local organizing committee have secured DC Park not only for the U16 but also the U19 and women’s football competitions,” according to Gerald Oiaka of the organizing committee.
Oiaka further clarified that the size of the DC Park field is suitable for the U16 category players, which is 90m length and 67m width.
The U16 Solomon Cup tournament will kick off on June 26th.
