THE names of the Solomon Islands national men’s U17 basketball has been released yesterday.
A total 12 players were listed for the final squad that will represent Solomon Islands on their Australian tour in December.
According to one of the trainers, Howard Tang the selected players were selected based on criteria both on and off the court.
“We base our selection on participation during trainings.
“Most importantly their Execution, Teamwork and Effort during the trainings and during the game,” he stated in an email yesterday.
The coaching staff made the final selection following their friendly match against the Chinese Dragons basketball team on Wednesday night.
Meanwhile the U17 team will host a fundraising corporate night on August 19 at the Honiara hotel.
This is in aid for the Australian tour held in Gold Coast on December 5th.
