The national U19 team flew out to Fiji yesterday afternoon despite losing most of their travel equipment during Friday night’s rioting and looting of shops and offices in east Honiara.
The team lost sporting gears, official wears and donated food.
SIFF office confirms the incident and listed some of those items as:
-24 jogging shoes donated by Advanced Technology
-24 official travel wear donated by Solomon Airlines
-24 polo shirts donated by Soltuna
– 6 Cartons of first grade tuna donated by Soltuna
– 48 Polo official Telekom wear
– 2 soccer boots
– and some personal items etc.
