THE Western United Football Club will soon name their final squad for the upcoming 2016/17 Telekom Soccer League (TSL) which will kick off later this month.
United’s head coach Commins Menapi said he had already submitted the list to the team management which is responsible for its release.
Menapi said his team has kicked off its training sessions in preparation for the new season.
Sunday Star sports understand a good number of prominent national players are teaming up with United for the upcoming season.
According to a statement released by the club on their official social media page, national defenders with the likes of Nelson Sale, Fred Kini, Joachim Waroi to name a few will be manning United’s defence line.
“Solomon Islands Internationals James Naka and Nelson Sale also join United at trainings.”
“Naka and Sale who ply their trades in Vanuatu are back with United for the TSL Season 2016/17,’’ the statement said.
The statement also added Judd and Jnr Fa’arodo to the list.
“The two will be manning the midfield with the like Lenson, Molis, Kilifa, Nawo, Paul Wale, Wetney, Kiko and Doke.
“The team trains under the watchful eyes of Commins Menapi, Jacob Moli and Fa’a Moana.”
Meanwhile the statement added that the final squad list is expected to be released on the 11th this month.
