ABOUT six American doctors completed a medical tour of Marovo, Western province, last month.
The team was headed by Dr Suzanne Daly from the Marovo Medical Foundation.
US doctors make twice-a-year visits to Marovo since 2007 providing medical services and improving health facilities.
“This year the doctors visited Bareho and Chubikobi villages providing medical services to the people,” said a villager from Marovo in an email.
He said the medical group made up of doctors, nurses, surgeons and anaesthetists who were based at Seghe AHC.
Their next medical tour will be in November.
Last year, the United States doctors from the Marovo Medical Foundation have helped to build a new theatre that opened at Seghe Area Health Centre last May.
