THE University of the South Pacific (USP) has delayed the start of semester 2, 2021.
The reason behind this is to allow students, schools, and academic staff to better prepare for the new semester.
Classes will now begin on August 16, 2021, and not August 9, 2021 as previously planned by the university.
The decision was made to allow time for the following:
- Students to register;
- The remaining grades are to be submitted by Schools and uploaded to Banner by Student Administrative Service (SAS);
- Academic staff to better prepare for classes; and
- Support sections to better support Schools.
Also, the Semester 2 Study/Examination Weeks has been reduced from 3 weeks to 2 weeks to compensate for the above change.
The university has acknowledged and thanked all staff and students for their hard work in Semester 1 and wish them all the very best for Semester 2.
