THE University of the South Pacific Solomon Islands (USP SI) Campus in Honiara will have its graduation on Friday.
The event will be held at the Maranatha Hall in East Honiara.
A total of 153 students are expected to receive their certificates during the graduation ceremony today.
Acting director for USP SI campus Dr Patricia Rodie said the Pro-chancellor Winston Thompson and Vice Chancellor Professor Rajesh Chandra will be officiating.
She said the Chancellor is not here to present the certificates due to official commitment. So the Pro Chancellor (VC) will present the Certificates on his behalf.
Also today’s occasion will see the VC presents the keynote address.
At a similar graduation last year, over 250 students graduated and received their certificates.
USP Laucala Campus in Fiji had already hosted their graduation last week with a total of 996 students from various Pacific countries graduating during the event, which was officiated by USP’s newly installed 23rd Chancellor and the Prime Minister of Cook Islands Henry Puna.
The ceremony today is expected to be attended by members of the University Senior Management team, diplomats, Government officials, staff, students, graduates, their families and well-wishers.
