THE University of the South Pacific (USP) Solomon Islands Campus will open its door to the general public as part of celebrating its (USP) Open Day, Friday 7th next week.
The Open Day which held annually in every semester two is a very crucial day in the university’s calendar.
“USP Open Day is a day where the University opens to the general public. This is an opportunity for prospecting students to seek advice on career pathways.
“It is always good to ask those who have been to the place you want to go,” said Layson Leve, Coordinator Administration of the USP Solomon Islands Campus.
He confirmed that this year (2015) Open Day is on Friday 7th August which will embraces various activities like displays by Faculties, Interdisciplinary Colleges & Support Services, Book sales, Career Talks for senior high school students and Cultural performances.
“Official opening will be held in the Multi-purpose hall from 10am – 11am adding displays will be held at the Lawson Tama Complex and Triple A building at China Town.”
Leve added that, Open Day is a day where the University opens to the general public and all are welcome to this event.
USP will celebrate this year (2015) Open Day with the theme “USP-shaping your future”.
“I would say here that education in broader sense can ultimately help one determine his/her direction in life. And USP as vehicle for education,” he concluded.
