A TEAM from University of the South Pacific (USP) team is in Isabel this week to discuss and sign a deal with the provincial authorities for to establishment of USP centre in Buala.
This was confirmed by the Isabel provincial secretary John Mark Lokumana yesterday when speaking to Solomon Star from Buala.
PS Lokumana said, “we have had a team from the USP visiting us this week to hold series of meetings with us.
“The team will be meeting with the provincial executive on Thursday and hopefully we’ll sign an MOU to allow a USP centre here.
“They also had given diagnostic tests to our Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers whom they sponsored for training.”
The USP has centres in Temotu, Makira, Malaita, and now Isabel province.
