The University of the South Pacific Solomon Islands Campus (USPSI) will join other partner USP regional campuses to celebrate USP open day today.
The USP open day is an important event in the university’s calendar.
Solomon Islands campus will also mark the day with its official program to be held at the Multi-purpose Hall.
The day would be an exciting moment and also a privilege for high schools students and the public to learn about the different functions of USP and the programs they offer.
The highlight of the event will be the music and cultural performances to be staged by local students.
Video shows and getting general information, book sales, food sales, library tour, video conferencing with USP Lata centre and Laucala, Fiji will be featured during the day.
This could be an opportunity for anyone of you who never knew of the function of USP or knew nothing about USP to come and get to know for yourself.
Also a chance for students or the public to ask the USP staff questions about the functions of USP.
The program begins at 9:30am till late evening.
The public is welcome to attend.
The day is given a very high priority by USP as it is aware of the role it plays in fostering the young minds of our youth and molding them into model citizens of their respective countries and contributing to the growth of their nations.
It is aimed at ensuring that prospective students are made fully aware of the different faculties and courses within the university so as to enable them to make sound decisions regarding their future studies and career paths.
This year, the USP open day will be based on the theme “USP – Shaping Your Future.”
