A CONCERNED man from Malaita is calling on the Police Commissioner Mathew Varley to act immediately and investigate allegations concerning his officers in Auki, Malaita province.
The man who wants his name withheld for personal reasons said its sad to learn about the illegal actions of some police officers in Auki.
He said the recent allegations involving police officers in Auki has tarnished the good name of the Auki police station and RSIPF as a whole.
“We have just heard about the alleged illegal sales of fuels which is a normal practise for some officers, even though they know they are misusing those fuels,” he said.
He said the public is watching police officers and every action they do.
“The Commissioner must know the public is watching what the police officers are doing. Their has already tarnished the reputation of our police force. Therefore the allegations must be investigated and those involved must face the law,” he said.
