Dear Editor – Firstly I would like to congratulate MP Freda Tuki acomua and her entire committee and officials for their splendid and fine achievement in establishing a long awaited vital shipping service, and essentially acquiring a boat, the MV Vatud Star, despite being in office just less than 18 months..hooray!
Do not let your guards down. Beware of panderers and never let yourself to be confounded and influenced by double tongues and solid practices.
Knowing, shipping service to Vatud constituency has been very poor for decades. Therefore, providing a consistent vital service by its own vessel would not only alleviate the chronic situation but also bring economic benefit to the constituency, province and country at large.
I have no doubt that most constituents are gladly looking forward to benefit from such important service and others that have been brought to their door steps.
The establishment of Vatud shipping company dawns a new era in the development of the most isolated, let alone neglected constituency in the country.
It is a watershed, the beginning of an important economic development since the inception of the constituency 17 years ago.
It is a simple manifestation of honoring the talks (words).
There are people who do the talking without actions, but it takes real and honest people to action their talking (statements).
MP Freda has a simplistic view on the progressive development of her constituency which in my view, demands our cooperation to drive home our social and economic development aspiration to a new level with higher and realistic perspectives.
Let the shipping service be a shape up to sharpen up all the blunt tooth that have gathered dust in files and offices for ages.
Go Vatud go! Strive for the best.
