The Parish of Visale in West Guadalcanal joins Catholic’s worldwide on celebrating the Saint Joseph Workers day.
Visale acting Parish Priest, Fr Peter Chele took the honour to officiate this commemoration marking.
The commemoration was hosted by the Parish with Catholic Priests from all over the region.
Acting Parish Priest, Fr Peter Chele emphasised the importance of their work as priests and that their service to the people is very important.
He said; “as priest’s we have a vital role to nurturing people Christian’s lives and I am thankful that you all have done your part with generosity.
“Your commitment to that service is significant, and urges to maintain that level of service in keeping close cooperation between the church and other stakeholders,” said Fr Chele.
Coordinator Catholic Fathers at Visale Parish, Joseph Seliama Junior on the same note thanked the priests within the region of Russell and Honiara for their continuous effort to the service.
“Your continuous programs in the church are important and calls on all of them to commit themselves.”
More than 30 catholic priests and fathers come together in marking this important gathering on Sunday 1st of May at Visale Parish.
