VUHOKESA Ward Easter tournament is set to take place next week 26th Marchat the Honiara high school playing ground.
The tournament will feature seven aside soccer knockouts and volleyball challenges for sports men and women in and around Honiara.
The tournament invites all sport men and women from eleven wards in Honiara city to come and participate.
Speaking to Star Sports key sponsor of the tournament Councillor for Vuhokesa ward Greg Malefo said the tournament is aimed at providing another opportunity for young men and women in Honiara to celebrate their Easter in sport.
He said, not only for Easter but the beginning of an initiative to promote sport in the society as well as local communities in Honiara.
He assures those in his ward that he is committed to bring alive the need of sport in Vuhokesa ward and as far as the concern of youths in Honiara city.
He said the tournament is an open invitation for all 11 wards in Honiara city council and teams are encouraged to register under respective wards.
Registration starts today and will close on 24th Thursday next week and draws will be made late on the same day.
Repay will also be allowed for losing team only at round one stage.
Games will started at 9am and close at 5pm except for Sunday Easter game will start at 11am.
For soccer, registration fee is $200 per team and for volley ball $50 per team.

1stprize $5000.00, 2nd prize $2,500.00, 3rd prize $1,500.00, and 4th prize $1,000.00
Prizes for volleyball
1st prize $2,000.00, 2nd prize $1,500.00, 3rd prize $1,000 and 4th prize $500.00
