Dear Editor – I just want to respond to the comments made by Jonathan Tebabusi Tobire on Tuesday 4th March 2014 Issue No. 5445.
I am one of the members of the delegation and was surprised to see that nonsense comment in the media.
To my understanding, you should see us first before going to the media.
The main purpose of coming to town is not to negotiate with the mining investors.
Our coming to town is to meet our lawyers (LALSU) regarding the consent that had been issued to that Mining Company which in our view was not done in the right procedure.
Secondly you mentioned the land issue. We are not here to deal with land issue.
Lastly House of Temaungatabu was formed in 2012 when our former Provincial Member was not doing what he was supposed to do.
Instead he was doing what is not in the best interest of his people. Therefore House of Temaungatabu was formed purposely to support the people of Wagina.
