Dear Editor – Wake up boys and girls, for your country needs your attention. Read the papers, and listen to your radios, this country is in need of national leaders.
Leaders with integrity we have none. Leaders for the people we have none. Leaders with national vision we have none. Our leaders are now becoming for themselves, leaving us fending for ourselves.
Thirty years back we were much structured with better system in place. We had better tarsealed roads with cat’s-eyes.
We had government shipping services serving four corners. We had better medical services that reached far.
All because we had leaders with nation in mind. And we had electorates with quality leadership in mind.
Today we have politicians who cares not about the country, but about money. Today we have Christians who care not about their neighbours, but their needs.
Today we no longer vote for leaders, but we vote for funders. We must wake up.
Boys and girls we must stop dreaming, but start thinking.
We must stop talking, but start working. We must come to our senses now, or tomorrow we suffer more.
Let ignorance a thing of the past, we must come out and speak one voice.
Stand up and take a closer look. Stand up and take a good listen. Our leaders have forgone us. Can’t you see? Can’t you hear? Wake up.
Boys and girls unless we wake up and gather ourselves to ACT now, our children will live through a time that even our spirits will moan.
Count not today’s leaders will take care of our children, for today’s leaders may not live our future. Count not on our leaders now, for they are weak and selfish.
Until we stand together, our leaders will always ignore us. Until we unite as boys and girls of this nation our future will always only a dream.
Boys and girls, the time is now. Boys and girls now is future’s past. Boys and girls we must clean this old slate.
Our children’s leaders must today be. Boys and girls, when should we be? Our time is here.
