SUPPORTERS and voters of Aoke Langalanga Member of Parliament, Mathew Wale have queried what they described as “uneven distribution of solar panels and projects” over the past few weeks.
According to complaints raised, Mr Wale over the past years failed to live up to his promise in prioritising his supporters with projects, yet giving projects and in particular solar panels to non-voters.
Speaking to this paper, spokesperson for a group of Mr Wale’s voters, Coeen Paula said that the MP has prioritised those that had gone against him in the previous election, forgetting those that had actually supported him and made him the MP.
“We do not know what Mr Wale’s strategy is. We do not know if he is campaigning with the distribution of projects and solar panels in particular or not as he has prioritised his rivals and their supporters more than us, those who had actually put him into parliament,” Mr Paula said.
“None of us have received any major projects or even solar panels since Mr Wale has started distributing them.
“This is totally unfair and contradicts all his promises he made to us since being elected Member of Parliament for Aoke Langalanga.
“We therefore call on Mr Wale and his Constituency Development Officer and administrators to explain to us why such promises have gone the exact opposite of what we had been told and promised,” Mr Paula said.
Meanwhile, an administrator and supporter of Mr Wale who wished not to be named informed this paper that throughout the distribution of projects, Mr Wale had evenly shared all projects.
“These people who are complaining do not know what being an MP is, as Mr Wale has done everything right as far as those of us in the constituency are concerned,” he said.
